Recognize The Brightest in Your Classroom
Nominate your top students for the The Congress of Future Medical Leaders
The Congress of Future Medical Leaders is a verified honors-only program for high-achieving high school students dedicated to pursuing careers as physicians (M.D.) or medical scientists (Ph.D.) including fields such as biology, engineering, technology, and mathematics. Its mission is to honor, inspire, motivate, and guide the nation’s brightest students who aspire to serve humanity through medicine and scientific discovery.
Over the course of three transformative days, Delegates are mentored live by some of the greatest minds in medicine — Nobel Prize winners, award-winning young inventors and scientists, leading medical futurists, and prominent deans of medical schools. Students will even witness a complete surgery and have the rare opportunity to ask the surgeon questions in real time.
At the conclusion of the Congress, each student is presented with the Congress of Future Medical Leaders Award of Excellence, signed and certified by Nobel Laureate Dr. Mario Capecchi, Science Director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists.
To be eligible, students must meet at least one of the following requirements: a GPA of 3.5 or higher (current or cumulative), or an SAT score of 1300 or above, or an ACT score of 22 or above. Verification will be required.
The next Congress will be held June 24–26, 2026 on the campus of UMass Lowell, just outside of Boston, MA.
