HOLYOKE — Amber Brueshaber of Holyoke High School has been chosen to attend the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Lowell from June 25 to 27 with other students who want to be doctors or medical scientists.

“Focused, bright and determined students like Amber Brueshaber are our future and she deserves all the mentoring and guidance we can give her,” Richard Rossi, executive director of the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists, said in a press release.

Brueshaber is a 10th-grade honor student at Holyoke High School, the press release said.

The purpose of the event is “to honor, inspire, motivate and direct the top students in the country” who want to be physicians or scientists and give them a plan and resources to reach their goals, the press release said.
